In most private law schools (Jindal, Symbiosis, NMIMS, Christ, BITS), NRI/OCI applicants can be admitted directly on 12th marks under the NRI quota — no CLAT required. Some NLUs have separate NRI/Foreign National quotas as well.

For MBBS/BDS in India, NEET qualification is required as per NMC guidelines — but NRI/OCI candidates often get admission at much lower cut-offs through designated seats. For select overseas universities, NEET is needed only for later FMGE licensing in India.
